~ by Jonathan Ford Building and Site Features   Anaha, meaning “reflection of light” in Hawaiian, is located at 1108 Auahu St and is a new luxury high-rise planned by Howard Hughes Corporation and designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and Woods Bagot Interiors. Completion date is expected to be 2016/2017. Anaha is part of the largest LEED-ND Platinum Certified neighborhood in the United States. The planned Ward Village was awarded LEED certification for having the highest standards of sustainable neighborhood design promoting design factors such as: pedestrian orientation, bicycle friendliness, easy access to public transit, use of recycled materials, as well as water and energy efficiency. Anaha itself is also targeted for LEED certification and is a 38 story low-emissivity glass wall curtain and concrete high-rise. It has an angled and unique stepped façade as a result of the varied “stack A” and “stack B” floor plans ever 4 floors. Anaha residents will enjoy concierge service with an on-site resident manager and 24/7 residential specialists. There will be onsite guest parking as well as optional valet parking. The 7th floor recreation deck will include: an ocean view pool, hot tub, cabanas, BBQs, dog park, tennis court and sand volleyball court.
