~ by Jonathan Ford Building and Site Features Built in 2011, the Pacifica Honolulu was originally developed by Hawaiian Dredging under the name of Moana Vista, but work was stalled with the housing crash in 2007/2008 and the building sat half completed for some time until San Diego developer OliverMcMillan purchased the project via auction in 2009. In purchasing the project at a relatively low price, OliverMcMillan was able to invest in the project and put in higher quality finishes and better amenities than were originally planned, much to the delight of original buyers in the project.   The Pacifica is a residential high-rise made up of glass, steel and poured concrete. On Floors 6-45 there are 12 units per floor and the ocean view units will be 03-10, while units ending in 01, 02, 11 and 12 will be the cooler, mountain view units.  The original finishings include porcelain tiled entries, kitchens and baths; as well as granite countertops in the kitchens with stainless steel appliances. The windows are double glazed for improved energy efficiency and quieter units. No units come with a lanai but some windows do open for ventilation and the floor plans offer space efficient layouts.
